Where I live there's a cute toy store that has some amazing toys! Things that I would have bought when I was a kid and some fun things that you won't find at a chain store. (Marshmallow shooter anyone?) One example is the kites they carry. They're good sturdy canvas kites that are only $1-2 more then at walmart (however WM's will be cheap plastic). The big thing I like is that they offer FREE gift wrap!
I don't ever buy gift cards at walmart. I ALWAYS buy them at my local grocery store! You can get money off or even just extra gas rewards.
We do family gifts and it's hard to come up with new ideas each year!

We don't draw names, but I only have my parents and sister here, the rest of the family in Peru ð¢ but we give gifts for kids only, for the adults Christmas cards with sometimes gift cards of restaurants. And thank you for the video, you just gave me a super idea for my friend ð

We draw names in our family. All the kids have gotten married had had kids so each married couple family draws another couples family and we have a budget. We can either break it up however we want or buy one large gift. Itâs the best idea and the best way to not go broke.
I love shopping for toys and gifts at smiths!! I got my nieces cute Disney dolls for $8!! I am totally going there for stocking stuffers!!! My daughter loves bath bombs and lip gloss!

The movie idea with popcorn and treats was a fun one! My family no longer exchanges gifts. We decided that we all have more than we need so we take the money we would spend on each other and help a family in need instead.
This weekend, they are having even BETTER deals with e coupons you can load on the kroger shopping card. Disney princess dolls, play doh, my little pony, shopkins, and boy action figures like transformers, etc. are $6.49! Crazy. And all Christmas items are an EXTRA 50% off. That's things like wrapping supplies, candy, gift sets, and decorations that are already on sale.

I have done the movie and bakery packages, they are always a hit. My moms extended family use to do a big new year party (after so many years now is about 100 people or more) with gift exchange, it is so fun but now too long hehehe

Yes, we draw names. I love checking out the clearance sections of wherever I am. There are usually some gems in there. I like to do game night sets….cards or games with treats or pizza gift card.

I havenât seen those Crayola bath bombs…Iâm gonna look for those. I love my local Smithâs store. I buy lots of gifts there. Last year I walked in the day after Christmas and grabbed so many great things for my kidsâ upcoming birthdays for so cheap!

Because my siblings and my husbandâs siblings are all over the continent and not always together at Christmas time, we decided a long time ago that we donât even buy gifts for each other. If we get to see them at Christmas, thatâs the best gift they can give ð In past years, weâve combined our resources to buy one big gift for our parents.
