I have found that November is the cheapest time to book cruises. We have been on 2 now and it is literally half the cost of the summer time cruises. We also usually book 2 years out and save over that 2 years. In addition, the Veteran's Day week is great because that is 1 less day of missed school for the kids. I am a big fan of Disney Vacation Club (DVC) – we researched a lot of different hotel run time shares and DVC was by far the cheapest and had the best benefits (like free parking at the hotel, laundry machines and discounts on dining, merchandise).
