1- You MUST have a checkbook!🤯 They do not take digital payments right now or debit or credit card payments. You mail the check in with your application.

2- You need your ACTUAL Birth Certificate (or your kid’s). No copies allowed. You will mail it in. They will mail it back to you.

3- Your Passport technically expires for some countries 6 months before the expiration date listed! A lot of countries will NOT let you travel to their country if you are within the last 6 months of passport validity. So always renew before that 6 month window so you don’t run into any issues!

4- We had a bad experience one time NOT paying to expedite. It took MONTHS to get our passports. So we always pay to expedite now. Expediting is supposed to be 2-3 weeks from the time the passport office receives your passport. If they are backed up, it will take longer than that, even with being expedited.

5- For kids, BOTH PARENTS listed on the Birth Certificate have to go to the Passport Appointment and SIGN IN PERSON in front of them. (Or fill out a signed notarized waiver)

6- You will mail in your current passport. But they will mail it back to you, marked as invalid a few weeks after you get your new passport in the mail. So you can keep the old passport for memories.

7- EACH Passport gets mailed to your home individually, by itself. They will mail all documents you sent, like Birth Certificates, expired Passports, etc, back to you a few weeks later. So don’t freak out if it isn’t all in the same envelope.

8- We used to do our own Passport Photos at Walgreens or whatever, but not anymore. We had too many issues with the quality of the pictures and had to re-pay to have them done at the Passport Office. So now we just let the Passport Office take the pictures there, so we don’t have our passports delayed due to a bad picture. (They can be really strict with smiles, if the eyes aren’t open enough)

Brady and I have this thing where we ask each other “On a scale from 1-10, how important is this to you?” It makes it so much easier to really see how much someone cares about something or wants it… is it a 5/10 or a 10/10, you know?

Brady has wanted a Rottweiler for YEARS. But I didn’t realize (or ask) until recently how much he wanted one… he said it was a a 10 out of 10. So for his Birthday in May, even though I am not a dog lover, and I’m so worried about shedding and all the things that go with a dog😵‍💫, this was his present. We needed some “us” time and we never celebrated our Anniversary. So we did a quick Vegas getaway✈️

✨Talked Brady into The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. Definitely a cool 4D idea! Just wished they had MORE things in the show. But I did catch an apple that fell from the sky! Definitely one of the very few Rated “G” shows on the strip good for families, in case you are looking for one.

✨Went to an Early Dinner at the Mayfair Supper Club at The Bellagio. (Don’t go after 10pm, or you’ll get a more scandalous version)
