I wish I had this tutorial back in the day. lol. I am a mom now and still don't know how to do my makeup the right way. I have your videos going while I am putting my make up on haha. The eye shadow is always the hardest and I am looking forward to trying the eyelash curler trick.

Ok, I have to let you know, that was one of the best videos I've watched in a long time. I'm a single 42 yr old mom and nobody has ever shown me how to wear make up, so all I've ever worn is lip stick and nail polish. I've recently got a bug in my butt and bought $150 with of make up and dying to start wearing it, but still a little nervous because I don't know if I will do it right, & no-one to tell me so. I think it would be so wonderful if you did a make over on someone, I would love to have a make over! Anyway, thank you so very much for this video! One mama to another! ðð

Christy, I was the same as you and didn't know how to use makeup until I was in my 20s. I found some awesome YouTube beauty gurus and learned to apply makeup by just watching their videos (like Melea's). Another one of my favorites is Makeupbytiffanyd on YouTube. She's amazing! I think this is a little dark for someone just starting with makeup. I started wearing make up to SCHOOL in 5th grade and to be honest I didn't really know what I was doing but I just wore a bright nudie pink color as eye shadow. In 6th and 7th grade I just wore a nude eye shadow that matched my skin color. In 7th grade that is when I started wearing foundation and contouring. I started wearing makeup well before any of my friends but now I am very good with makeup but still don't wear dark eyeshadow to school(I do some other places)
I can wear whatever I want there was no age limit for me
In 6th grade I started to wear makeup EVERYDAY In 6th grade. I would wear mascara, darker eye shadow, concealer and powder foundation
+amazhangfandoms/dance now I wear a lot of makeup and I'm going into 8th grade. I think 8th grade is find but Mealee said this was for beginners and this seems too dark for 5th/6th grade
I agree that this is too dark for someone in 5th or 6th grade. The light also accentuates things as well. It's not as dark in real life. But the basics of this application should work for 7th grade and higher. ð

I appreciate make up tutorials and this was so great. I loved that your mom took you to a professional to teach you and I like your philosophy on make up being a beauty enhancer not a beauty maker. The most helpful portion of the tutorial was how you gave tips about places on the face to use as markers– that's always a difficult part to me. My only feedback would be that I have very Asian eyes, and I don't have big eyelids like yours so it would be a little harder to find those eye markers you did with your eye shadow. Maybe in the future if you do a tutorial/giveaway you could do one on a person with Asian eyes? Otherwise an excellent resource for putting on makeup! Thank you :)
Great idea! If you hooded eyelids, you will take your color up higher than just your lid. Then put the darker color just on the outside triangle of your eye (instead of the wiperblade motion I did)
