You can use a number of “Price-Scanning Apps”, but the one I used in this video is called RedLaser and you can find it in the Apple Store or the Google Play Store. Download it (it’s FREE) and use it to help you scan and save in-store shopping clearance items!

What was the scanning app that you were using
+Nikki Jeske RedLaser app. But there are a ton of them that do similar things and will price scan for you. 🙂 Make sure you get a FREE one tho. Don't pay for one.

Wow this has great info! I am going to download the app right now. All I have here (Cedar City, Ut) is a Walmart and they hide their clearance. it is so hard to find it… How do you feel about stores like ROSS and TJ Maxx? Would the RedLaser app help make sure those clothes and items are really a good deal?
+Kelly Hofeling Clothing can be harder with the app. But you can definitely try! Walmart's clearance is a lot harder to find. I agree. But I would ask employees if they have seen any clearance sections lately–since they are stocking them, they will know where they are if you can't find them. 😉

It's dangerous to check all the end caps cause then I see the whole store and BUY TOO MUCH! :S Also, i love that you can scan with the cartwheel app to see if an item you want has a coupon associated with it.

Quick question: Does the really great "clearance shopping" taper off at a certain point you notice during Januray? I always feel like I want to hold out longer for a better deal? BTW this helps a ton! thanks!
+Kate Paulsen I wouldn't wait too long.. some people wait too long and it's all gone. It's more about what you are willing to pay for an item. Last week of January is typically when it tapers though. Hope that helps!
