I've got one of those kids too! Our tooth fairy brings gold dollar coins.
We're in the same boat as you. My daughter will be starting 3rd grade and has only lost 2 teeth. Her perm teeth came in behind them before we pulled them out.
YES!! Devyn's have started to grow in sideways… we shouldn't have waited so long to help her pull them.

I know my daughter. She is over-dramatic and has actually watched the video back a few times and has been laughing along with it. She isn't embarrassed at all. I wouldn't do something I would think she would be embarrassed from. Thanks for your concern though! 🙂

Ive been debating whether to pull my 6 year old's tooth for weeks since it'll be my first time ð©ð© thank you!!
It's rough…but if you don't do it, your kid's teeth might start growing in behind the tooth or in sideways…We made that mistake with Devyn's first teeth! You definitely can't wait too long. Hope this video helped a bit!

I don't pull teeth I wait for them to fall out. The tooth fairy gives $1 at our house. I think your intention was to show how to pull a tooth but I too felt like this was using your child for entertainment. she is super cute and my children would be just as dramatic
my grandma and dad were the ones who would pull my teeth out all the times and I still remember how I stayed calm while they did it but when i was taken to the dentist I never stayed calm….ð
Just so you all know… Devyn is completely fine. She has loved watching the video back multiple times and has been laughing at how silly she was acting in the video! I would never intentionally do anything that would embarrass her. AND…. she is happy that her video could help other kids out who might be scared to get their teeth pulled. Sometimes as moms, we've just got to handle the stuff we don't want to deal with–even if there is crying involved. Because it's REAL LIFE and I feel like it's ok and important to show "Real Life Moments" as much as possible. So Devyn and I both hope that this video can help give new moms an idea of what to expect (and it's OK if this happens with your kids too!) and moms who have had to deal with something similar will be able to relate. LOVE YOU GUYS!!

I never had a tooth pulled. I would just twist the one which was a bit loose and eventually it would fall, in a couple of days tops. My parents never told me about teeth fairy either but I still put it a couple times under my pillow and hope that they would give me some money. It only worked twice and got just cents XD

I was literally laughing out loud, only because I know all about the dramatic child. She is adorable!!
Pretty sure my daughter would be even worse! Her last one was probably at least as loose as Devyn's. It was ridiculous. She went crazy if we even mentioned getting it out. But I really hate pulling teeth. She's super behind too. She didn't lose her first until just before her 7th birthday! She's only lost the bottom front 2. But she just had to have 2 molars pulled at the dentist, so she's technically up to 4. Our tooth fairy brings $1 per tooth.
I always used a slightly damp tea bag after removal of a tooth instead of tissue 🙂 . Seemed to be more comforting. Love you both <3 HUGS, GOD bless, Lin

I trust that you know your daughter best. However, I dont think there is a danger in letting kids lose teeth naturally. Between scrapes and splinters and hang nails, I have plenty of drama there. Lol!
Melea! I thought this video was great! I was a first grade teacher and saw all kinds of emotions when it came to pulling teeth. Way to go staying calm and clearly explaining to her what would happen AND that she would be fine. So important! P.S Many kids in my class would get a sparkle dollar or a golden dollar from the tooth fairy. At our house she brought quarters.

I have always let my children's teeth come out naturally because that's how I lost my teeth while growing up. I don't even know of a parent whom has ever pulled their child's teeth out so this vlog was interesting to say the least. Lol. My youngest is very dramatic also and I can't even imagine her letting me get as far as wrapping the string around the tooth, lol. Kudos to your little girl. ðð
This is exactly what my second son does when we pull his tooth. My oldest goes into the bathroom in front of the mirror and pulls his own teeth. It's funny how different every kid is.

Once my parents woke me up whilst placing the dollar underneath my pillow, i just pretended to be sleep for their enjoyment and ever since i pretended to believe in the tooth fairy also lol. Hopefully i won't make that rookie mistake with my kids!!!
